The metallic blue is an official vintage color and was offered as a higher end priced tin toy back in the day over the solid color Gama 300's. Other than a small touch-up on the side just in front of the left tail light (photo #s 8 & 9), the paint is flawless.
As nice as the finish looks in the pictures it looks even better in person. The car is a nice size at 12 inches long. The chrome work is incredible.
Typically on these Gama 300's there is always some degree of rust or corrosion all over the chrome. No corrosion, in fact it appears as "chrome-y" as the day it was manufactured.
The tires have their tread and full round with no flat spots. The hub caps are beautiful. Other than the small spot aforementioned, there are no touch-ups on this car anywhere. It is all original and all Exceptional. There is, however, a small ding on the top of the roof at the back just before the window. I took photo #7 at such an angle so it can be seen. The windows front and back are original. The interior with steering wheel is all original and in fantastic condition.
The bottom of the car is all original. Finally, When you see other Gama 300's you will often find that the tail lights were touched-up over the years with solid red. This is authentic and original tail lights as confirmed with photos from that era. The last photo (#12) is from the "Big Book of Tin Toy Cars".
If you are looking for a real collection piece, this is it. Desirable car, Rare Color, Fantastic Condition. The friction is smooth and strong. If you have any questions about this incredible vintage tin toy car please contact me.
